TSMC and UMC reducing discounts, raising prices
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) have stopped offering their clients a special discount that they introduced at the end of last year, as the traditional hot season for USB, speech, consumer and analog ICs is approaching, according to second-tier LCD driver IC design houses.
