Transmeta preps notebooks, new processors
Startup chipmaker Transmeta will unveil several corporate notebooks at PC Expo later this month.
Computer makers Compaq and Gateway, both of which are investors in the company, could eventually offer the devices, while IBM has already said it will demo a Transmeta-based notebook.
The company also announced it will soon add two additional processors to its chip line: the 3300 and the 3400, for the appliance market, and a 5600 for notebooks.
