Transmeta claims 5-year tech lead
Transmeta Corp, aglow with several design "wins," is breaking the silence that once characterized the young chip company. The company's CEO has told a Reuters writer that it would take companies like Intel and AMD at least five years to catch up to Transmeta's design technology, that relies on software to increase chip performance and speed.
