Touch screen producer Transtouch Technology expects to break even this year
Transtouch Technology, a joint venture between Japan-based Fujitsu Component and Taiwan-based CMC Magnetics, early this year began volume production at its touch screen production line, processing 95,000 300 x 400mm substrates monthly. The line currently is operating three shifts a day at over 60% capacity utilization rate and 70-90% yield rate, varying depending on product size. The company imports 70% of its raw materials, like ITO (indium tin oxide) film and glass, from Japan.
