Toshiba and Canon schedule mass production of SED panels for July 2007
Toshiba and Canon today announced that they will start the first phase of mass production for surface-conduction electron-emitter display (SED) panels in July 2007 and launch SED TVs in the fourth quarter of 2007. The flat-panel TV market is expected to see continued growth within the overall TV market, with demand receiving a significant impetus from the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the global shift from analog to digital broadcasting.
