Toppoly opens 3.5G LTPS TFT LCD factory and plans to build 5G factory next year
Toppoly Optoelectronics held an opening ceremony for its 3.5-generation (3.5G) LTPS (low-temperature poly-silicon) TFT LCD Fab 1 in Chunan, Miali County on June 5. Ray Chen, chairman of the company, disclosed that Toppoly also plans to invest NT$60 billion to build a 5G factory next year. The company plans to begin ground preparation for the plant, which will process 1,100 x 1,250mm substrates, in the middle of next year.
