Westlake Village (CA) - Tom's Hardware Guide, the Internet's premier resource for PC hardware reviews and news, announced today that it will launch the IT industry's first-ever event focusing on the needs of hardware buyers - Tom's Hardware Expo. The conference, which will target business buyers, IT professionals and early adopters, will be held at Jacob Javits Conventions Center in New York City on October 5-7, 2004.

Tom's Hardware Expo will highlight new hardware technologies from a wide range of industry leaders. Attendees to the event will receive demos of the latest and greatest in hardware technology. Separately, Tom's Hardware Expo will also offer a two-day conference where on the first day, attendees will hear from industry experts discussing the future of the market. The second day will involve presentations given by leading hardware vendors who are exhibiting at the show.

Topics addressed by conference speakers and vendors will be posted at a later date to the Expo's official site, www.tomshardwareexpo.com as well as to www.techxny.com .

"As an authority in PC hardware, Tom's decided to develop an expo exclusively for our core audience, which is always eager to learn about the latest hardware on the market, said Tom's Hardware Guide publisher and general manager, Omid Rahmat. "Our expo will allow us to, in a way never done before, present the latest information our audience needs to make smart hardware purchase decisions."

"Tom's Hardware Expo will give our audience a unique perspective, one that will provide them with invaluable information," said Christina Condos, Director of New York's Technology Week. "There is no doubt that this mutually beneficial partnership will produce a truly ground-breaking event."
