After NVIDIA's win in the graphics chip area, many of you might have expected an NVIDIA product to win here as well. However, it turned out that the favorite high-end 3D-card of our readers is in fact ATi's Radeon 8500 .

Canadian based ATi has been busy keeping NVIDIA on its toes. The Radeon 8500 is ATi's weapon against graphics cards with NVIDIA's GeForce 3 chip and the survey result shows that NVIDIA has reasons to take ATi seriously. However, we also don't want to forget that Radeon 8500 won this competition because its chip, the R200, can only be found on cards with the ATi brand, while there are a lot of different providers of cards with NVIDIA's GeForce3 chip. Asus seems to be our readers' favorite graphics card maker with NVIDIA chips, while Gainward came third, as our readers' second choice for a 3D card with NVIDIA chip. Nevertheless, ATi won this competition!
