Tom's Hardware Guide Readers' Choice - Best Motherboard Brand
Now we are coming to discrete products and finally we have reached the very category that started Tom's Hardware more than six years ago - motherboards. Instead of asking you for a specific product, we wanted to know which motherboard maker you consider best of all, an opinion based in many cases on your own experience. Today, a motherboard has to be reliable and stable, it has to be highly compatible, flexible, equipped with a good set of features and finally it should offer good performance. Over 40% of our readers consider Asus to be the best motherboard brand of all, and once more, that did not come as a big surprise to us. Abit came in second and MSI took 'bronze'. Both of them deserve our recognition too.

The first motherboard I ever reviewed was the Asus P/I-P55T2P4, a motherboard that I had bought and paid for, because in the early days of this website, no company would give away free review products. Since this time Asus has proven to always be up there, when it comes to reliability, top-notch BIOS support and performance. Asus may well be one of the top ten international Taiwanese brand names. A huge part of this impressive achievement is due to the vision, leadership and integrity of Johnney Shih, the CEO of Asus, who has my very highest respect.

We are sending our congratulations to Johnney Shih, Alan, Jerry, Jerry and all the other hard working people at Asustek. Keep up your good work! I'd also like to commend Abit for its second place as well as MSI for making third.
The Winners Speak
"ASUS is extremely honored to be recognized as the Best Motherboard Brand by the readers of Tom's Hardware Guide, " states Jonney Shih, President of ASUS. "As a leader in the IT industry, ASUS constantly pursues bringing the most innovative technologies and value to users everywhere. Tom's Hardware Guide's Readers' Choice Award is a testament that our commitment to our customers is well worth it. "
