Tom's Blurb: What's Happening?
<nobox>
Introduction
Unfortunately I am unable to provide you with a sufficient Monday Blurb this week, because I am actually on vacation for already almost two weeks. Kate disapproves me sitting in front of my notebook any longer than absolutely necessary, and I prefer to spend some time with her rather than the website for the remaining few days as well. I will be back in my office on Monday next week, so that I can assure you of a proper blurb next week. A pile of shipments is waiting there for me as well, particularly one extremely hot product, which will be reviewed by me as soon as possible.
Last Sunday I had a longer talk with 3Dfx's VP of Corporate Marketing & Business Development, who told me that 3Dfx was not exactly happy about my last blurb. The phrase `integration', which somehow sounds as if 3Dfx is trying to influence editorial content, was supposedly a construct of 3Dfx's ad agency and a mere misunderstanding. 3Dfx disapproved that I published the whole document, but they do admit that this email could possibly be misunderstood. I am actually not the only one who disliked the term `integration', Alex `Sharky' Ross from Sharky Extreme and Blue from BluesNews also decided against a participation in 3Dfx's ad program. I guess we forget about this issue as fast as we can now and believe that the whole story was indeed nothing but an unfortunate misunderstanding. 3Dfx has a lot tougher things to deal with pretty soon, as you will find out when my review of a competing 3D chip will be finished next week.
