Tivo Series 3 gets $200 rebate
Los Angeles (CA) - The mail-in rebate program that has helped TiVo gain widespread adoption is finally heading to the Series 3 high definition TiVo.
Consumers who purchase a Series 3 box are now eligible for a $200 mail-in rebate. This makes the final retail price around $600. With some retailers pushing the price down to level already, the $400 price point is within reach.
However, patient consumers may want to wait a little while longer. TiVo announced earlier this year that by the end of 2007, the price of the Series 3, which still has its initial $800 MSRP, will be cut by at least a couple hundred dollars.
The new rebate program begins on May 27 and is valid for purchases made through June 16.
