TI to help partners make super slim DLP TVs
Texas Instruments (TI) said last week that it aims to help partners produce super slim (less than 10") 44" DLP (digital light processing) rear-projection TVs (RPTVs) this year to compete with PDP (plasma display panel) TVs.
During a recent media event, John Van Scoter, senior vice president of Texas Instruments (TI), said the 44" slim TV will be available this September, but TI hasn’t revealed which Taiwan partner or partners will make the slim TV.
