Vodka breakfasts for all. Tom's Hardware Guide is now available in Russian www.toms-hardware.ru . Here are excerpts from the European announcement talking about the new team over there:

Dimitry Chekanov, former chief translator at 3D News, will support the international editorial team of Tom's Hardware Guide as editor-in-chief of the Russian page. Stanislay Vasiliev, editor-in-chief and co-founder of 3D News will act as deputy director and supporting editor at Tom's Hardware Guide Russia. Pavel Sinyakov, who can look back on a long experience in IT-marketing, will be responsible for the advertising coordination. Technical coordinator will be Alexander Belov.

With the Russian page, Tom's Hardware Guide takes a strategic step towards an increasing market. According to the annual report of the German Russian Chamber of Commerce, the retail turnover in the first half of 2002 increased by 8.4 percent due to the consistently growing income of the Russian population.
