Nvidia's Timo Allsion thinks consumers will want to be able to see the difference between different types of graphics rendering before they buy into them. He's shown here with a Biostar board featuring nForce.

Nvidia's Timo Allsion tells us that Nvidia's their presence was to show its "picture in demand" software, which allows consumers to switch between examples of how displays look with different types of graphics engines - something most consumers have no reference to either in the store or once they get the their system home. "Basically, they get to see what they're buying when they get a graphics chipset on their motherboard."

The differences can be impressive. In a photo of a monitor at a trade show, it's difficult to see the difference (which is why we didn't include one here). You really have to see it in person. Nvidia won a THG Readers Choice Award later in the day

Eric Christenson of Nvidia with the Tom's Hardware Guide Readers' Choice Award for Best Innovation in Chipsets for the Nvidia Nforce 2 Ultra.
