THG Community Members To Hold LAN Party
A number of THG Community members have announced their intention of having a get together at the Fragnation LAN party on December 21th and 22nd at the Hamburg Fairgrounds in Hamburg NY.
The event will be holding four tournaments for the following games: Counterstrike, Unreal Tournament 2003, War Craft III, and Quake III.
The THG Community involvement in the event is being spearheaded by Darren Polkowski of the THG Community. Darren told us that after reading about the Ultra Unreal and QuakeCon events that THG covered this year, he thought of the idea of getting my friends in the THG Community together.
"I think this presents the chance for THG Community Members and THG Readers, who are into playing game to get together and have fun.", Darren told us. "I would like to see a bigger event that even more of the THG community could attend in the future, maybe something for THG readers on the level of QuakeCon.", added Darren.
With only 250 seats available for this tournament and the amount of good loot to take a shot at, if you live in the area this might be a great way to spend the weekend before Christmas if you don't happen to have any shopping left to do. As of this posting, seats are still available, so act fast!
Your truly will be in attendance to get in a few games to kick off holiday week and spread the THG gospel in an informal question and answer session during the event. As is customary I will have a number of goodies to pass out to those in attendance.
