Here are a few sample images of the 46D1. (The bottom images in each comparison, called "reference images", are images photographed from a Dell 1905FP 19" LCD computer monitor.)

A broadcast video feed that displays clean resolution and very good contrast. The image is a touch "cool" compared to the reference, but still quite good. Otherwise, colours are nicely saturated.

Sports broadcasts display very good contrast, brightness, and colour performance. The 46D1 has a slightly more "punchy" feel compared to the reference image.

NBA Basketball - ABC HD - 720p

This snapshot from Pirates of the Caribbean illustrates rich colour saturation and very accurate, natural flesh tones. There is some lost detail in the dark portions of the scene compared to the reference image.

This scene from the movie Invincible again illustrates good resolution and decent colour accuracy. Flesh tones are accurate, but other portions of the scene display a slight cool colour temperature or "blue cast". If I attempted to adjust the colour temperature from "medium" to "cool", most of the scene improved, but then flesh tones became less natural.

This scene from Departed illustrates vibrant colour and good detail, with just a bit of lost detail in the darker portions of the scene. Flesh tones are just a touch toward red compared to the reference image.
