The Simpsons heading to new video game
Redwood City (CA) - Electronic Arts has announced that the long-lasting cartoon family is heading to all next-gen platforms, assumedly to correspond with The Simpsons Movie slated for theaters this summer, reports Gamespot.
The game, which has yet to be officially titled, is planned for the PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, DS, and PSP. It will be one of the first Simpsons games from EA, which acquired the license in late 2005.
Over 20 games have come out from various publishers featuring the impish, jaundiced characters during the show’s 18-year run.
According to Gamespot, the game will be split into 16 "episodes", played either in a single player or cooperative 2-player mode. The game is not set for a release until next year.
