Since space on the board is at a premium, AOpen has made the printer port optional. While it is present, users have to connect the adapter included with the board to a row of miniature pins. The COM1 port (right) uses normal, jumper-sized pins.

Naturally, since this is a microATX board, it doesn't offer the same abundance of interface options and ports as a full-sized ATX board. Its feature set is also reduced. Nonetheless, the included features should be sufficient for most users. The chipset contains an integrated graphics solution that, while not the fastest 3D performer, is ideally suited to a low-power system. An x16 PCIe slot is also available, making future graphics card upgrades possible. Finally, the board features two PCI slots and one x1 PCIe slot for add-in cards. On the whole, AOpen has succeeded in including all of the required and most desirable components an its compact board.

A low-profile PS2 keyboard connector backplane comes with the board, allowing it to be used in SFF PCs.

State of the Art sound: Realtek's ALC880 supports Intel's 7.1 high definition audio standard, "Azalia".
