We'd thought that optical technology had reached maturity and that we couldn't expect any further radical new developments. Indeed, mouse makers had been concentrating on design and ergonomics for some time, while new technologies took a back seat. But Logitech didn't see things like that. In association with its partner Agilent Technologies, who invented the optical sensor, they've developed the laser mouse.
