The Ideal Keyboard For LAN Parties And Gamers?
That said, allow me to explain why this is the ideal keyboard for gamers and case modders. As I said before, I have seen other backlit keyboards. But these were keyboards case modders built, all of which paled in comparsion to the EluminX.
Case modders usually put LED lights behind the keyboard faceplate, thus achieving the "backlit" look. A major disadvantage with this approach is that LEDs are too bright; it usually looks like a traffic light is hiding behind the keyboard. Another drawback is that previous attempts fell short of creating keys that are lit in a way that enhances visibility. The EluminX, however, solves both of these problems.

The backlighting of the keyboard is the star of the show.

True gamers know the importance of being able to see the keyboard at all times, which is especially crucial during dimly-lit LAN parties. The EluminX is visible at all times, like a lighthouse on a foggy night. You will never have to worry about whether or not your hand is on the wrong keys again; you only have to look down and see through the darkness. Be ready for everyone to ask where you got the "sweet" keyboard.

The EluminX from another angle for a better look at the sweet spot that is important for FPS gamers. The small space bar, however, could be a major problem for those with big hands.
For key action during gaming, applications, the EluminX especially shines, and this is a very important attribute for serous gamers. I tested several games using the EluminX, including Unreal Tournament 2003, Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Rise of Nations, and many others. The key action was very precise, as if the developers had gaming in mine.
There were a couple of things, however, that threw me off guard. The arrow keys were relocated closer to some of the function keys. The other issue was the very small size of the spacebar. I understand that this is a compact keyboard, but the spacebar was really tiny. The arrow-key placement and small space bar might or might not hamper your playing style, depending on where on the keyboard the movement keys are set.
