Respect Of The Colors
Respect Of The Colors
The color rendering was satisfactory without being excellent:

98% of the colors were correctly reproduced (DeltaE < 2), but only 70% were rendered perfectly. Yet it's easy to see the progress LCD manufacturers have made in terms of colorimetry. They've come a long way since the first panels appeared. The 710T also scored above average in reproducing black.
| White spot | Black spot | Contrast |

The depth of the black measured by our sensor was excellent, above all if you take into account the high luminance value after calibration. For a responsive monitor intended for gamers, the 710T offered static performance that's quite acceptable. The luminance was too high, however; we'd prefer a value somewhere around 190.

Unfortunately, contrast fell apart fairly quickly as brightness decreased, and only the 50% to 100% brightness range was able to maintain optimum contrast. Our calibration was made at 84% brightness, which means you can go down to 200 cd/m² with only a minor deterioration of the calibration curve. However, the black level quickly bottomed out at 0.37 cd/m² - a value which is not bad in itself.
