Core 2 processors are available in three flavours: Core 2 Duo with 2-MB shared L2 cache (accessible to both cores), Core 2 Duo with 4-MB shared cache and the Core 2 Quad with 2x 4-MB L2 cache. Core 2 Quad is nothing else than two Core 2 Duo processors inside one processor package.
Core 2 Duo with 2 MB L2 cache is code-named Allendale. These processors are available at several clock speeds between 1.8 and 2.13 GHz, running at FSB800 or FSB1066 system speeds.
