The first speaker that is connected to the Internet
The NICT, the Japanese National Institute Of Information and Communication Technology, presents the first speaker that can be directly hooked up to the internet (so not going through a PC). A computer is necessary however to control the sound and everything, but once that is done, you don’t need a PC anymore to listen to streaming audio. The speaker can be connected via LAN or Wireless LAN.
