While Doom 3 may be a simple game for the GeForce 8800 to handle, F.E.A.R. is another story. F.E.A.R. utilizes larger amounts of the frame buffer. This is evident in the first round of tests with antialiasing and anisotropic filtering disabled. Moving to the test with these settings enabled, the reference design defeats the newcomer at all resolutions except 1024x768.
