The first Annual CompuSmart LAN Party

National retailers have recently begun hosting and sponsoring LAN parties (see Newegg.com Has The Recipe For The Perfect LAN Party ). Canada's only national computer retailer, CompuSmart recently leveraged its relationship with suppliers to raise $35,000 (CND) for its first-ever LAN event.

The fact that CompuSmart planned to give away five PCs to local charities first piqued our interest - THG is on the lookout for LANs that are focused on growing gaming culture as well as giving something back to the local community that makes these great events possible.
