TFT LCD panel supply to exceed demand in Q4
Several Taiwan-based investment firms and panel makers are concerned that TFT LCD supply may be higher than generally expected, exceeding rather than falling short of demand. Citing the gradual resolution of the steppers problem and ramping capacity at next-generation plants, the Taiwan investment firms believe that the industry may face an oversupply situation in the fourth quarter.
