Trendnet today announced a Skype handset that connects via Bluetooth.
The TVP-SP1BK ClearSky VoIP Bluetooth Phone with Bluetooth Adapter includes a wireless handset and compact Bluetooth adapter. The handset supports all of the popular Skype standard functions such as Contacts, Call List, SkypeOut, Conference Call, etc. and is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery TRENDnet specs at 6 hours talk time and "over 60 hours" on standby.
The bundled TBW-104UB USB Bluetooth 2.0 Adapter supports Enhanced Data Range (EDR) and uses Class 1 radio technology to help extend coverage distance up to 100 meters.
The product will begin shipping next month for around $100.
