Telco Systems adds VoIP gateway with integrated router
Telco Systems today introduced the Access211 VoIP gateway for broadband Internet telephone service. The product supports two different phone numbers that can be used for standard telephones or fax machines
The new VoIP gateway’s integrated router supports the 802.1 q VLAN Tagging standard for improved VoIP call security and TOS Marking for voice quality. Variable voice compression is applied to both phone ports and allows both the end-user and the VoIP service provider to control voice quality.
The Access211 also provides telephone lifeline support in which an end-user can still have phone service in the event of a power failure or VoIP network failure, and supports all major custom calling features such as 3- way calling, caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, call transfer and hold.
Other features include T.38 fax over IP and support for SIP, MGCP and H.323 VoIP standards.
The Access211 will be available through service providers only with general availability in the second quarter.
