PASADENA, Calif., August 3, 2004 - Building on the success of the 2004 conference held June 6-9 at the Marriott Resort at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the TechnoSecurity/CEIC 2005 Conference will offer attendees eight concurrent tracks with additional educational sessions and expanded hands-on labs and lectures at the same oceanfront location. In addition, several key industry and executive forums will be held in conjunction with the 2005 conference.
"The TechnoSecurity/CEIC 2004 Conference was extremely successful," said John Patzakis, President and CEO, Guidance Software. "There is no question that information security, incident response, enterprise investigations, auditing and regulatory compliance are at the forefront of business and information planning."
This year’s conference also demonstrated the blending of traditional business-to-business information security practitioners and law enforcement personnel. The more than 1,000 attendees represented Fortune 500 companies as well as government, DoD security agencies and metropolitan law enforcement from around the world.
Plans are underway to expand next year’s conference content and capacity. More in-depth lecture tracks and expanded lab sessions focusing on information security, enterprise investigations, information risk management and information regulations will be available at the 2005 conference, as well as opportunities for continuing professional education (CPE) credits. An executive forum, designed to bring together industry thought-leaders to address specific business issues, will also be part of the agenda.
The 2005 conference is scheduled for June 12-15, and the cost is $995. Early-bird registration discounts will begin August 15, 2004. With more than 1,000 attendees this year, the 2005 conference capacity will be limited to 1,500 attendees and is expected to sell out early.
