Tech leaders argue DMCA exemptions
Some tech industry leaders told a federal panel last Friday that exemptions to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act will make it more difficult to fight digital piracy. Some, however, warned that the exemptions are required for academic and library purposes. Others pointed out that the law could make it a felony to use Bleem products that allow users to play Sony PlayStation video game disks on a personal computer.
