Tech jobs still growing
Despite highly publicized lay-offs in many of the most visible of the tech companies, demand for new computer-related workers in the US continues to outpace pinkslips. In the year before March 2001, tech job totals grew by 100,000 positions. Data from the UK, where the unemployment rate is at 3.4 percent, a 25-year-low, indicate the same situation exists there. Other studies bolster these conclusions.
