Taiwan notebook makers estimate mixed July results
Preliminary July results at Taiwan major notebook makers pointed to signs of a recovery from the sluggish second quarter, helped by new Pentium 4 processor-based notebook launches following Intel's May price cut on P4 chips. However, companies warned of a dip in the coming weeks, as clients defer orders while waiting for another price cut in September.
