Taiwan 1Q IC production steady or rising across the board from 4Q 2001
The Industrial Technology Information Service (ITIS) announced on May 13 that Taiwan's overall IC production rose 10% quarter-on-quarter to NT$145.85 billion in the first quarter. IC manufacturing fared significantly better this year as DRAM prices stabilized and foundry orders flowed in, while the other sectors remained at least level with the previous quarter.
