Taiwan's AWSC first overseas GaAs foundry to land Conexant-Alpha verification

Taiwan-based GaAs (gallium arsenide) foundry Advanced Wireless Semiconductor Company (AWSC) announced that it has received verification from Skyworks Solutions, the company formed by the merger between Alpha Industries and the wireless communications business of Conexant Systems. AWSC has begun small-scale shipments.
