Supreme Court passes on MS case
The US Supreme Court has agreed with Microsoft Corp.'s assertion that the appeal of its breakup order should be heard by a lower court. The appellate court began preparing to quickly hear the case even while Microsoft's stock price rose. It is widely believed that Microsoft will faire better in the court of appeals than it would have if the Supreme Court had heard the case.
