Supply of large-size TFT LCDs to exceed demand in 2006
Supply of global large-size TFT LCDs is expected to widen to around 9.4 percent in 2006, with the second quarter having the widest gap between supply and demand, according to DisplayBank.
Despite this, DisplayBank indicated that the forecast amount for the full year is within a reasonable range, as demand for the over-37" TV panel segment will pick up rapidly while the expansion plans at TFT LCD makers for the segment have faced delays.
