Super Bowl fans scanned
At last week's Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida, police video cameras scanned the face of everyone who entered the stadium. The faces were then compared electronically with a biometric database of known criminals and terrorists. The use of face-recognition technology has been used in Casinos for some time as well as selected areas such as the East London borough of Newham. One known ticket scalper was identified but a great deal of controversy has been instigated by the test.
