Sun releases StarOffice 8 beta, Java Desktop 3
Sun Microsystems has released a beta of its open source StarOffice 8 suite and version 3 of its Java Desktop System.
Sun said the StarOffice 8 beta for Linux enhanced interoperability with Microsoft Office applications, while Java Desktop 3 improved device support and interoperability functions.
