Your network should work and play well with others, but often that just doesn't seem to be the case. Sun Microsystems and BMC Software say they are working toward getting heterogeneous systems moving smoothly with PATROL for the Sun StorEdge T3 array, a Jiro technology-based BMC Software Knowledge Module that interfaces with the array. The module discovers, captures, stores, and reports physical attribute and event information. Jiro is a set of APIs based on the Java 2 platform that provides developers with an infrastructure for building interoperable storage management solutions for multi-platform environments. If you need to learn more, check out Jiro on the web.
