A-Data's MyFlash is one of the latest high-capacity sticks on the market, and is available in 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB and 4 GB capacities. A-Data uses Samsung or Toshiba NAND Flash memory. It is a compact stick that can be used as a key fob and features a nice blue casing and a mirror finish that we liked. However, A-Data was not very creative when it comes to the connector cover: it provides a simple cap that you can lose easily.

A-Data states that it supports a power saving mode to reduce power consumption as well. A little LED indicates drive activity, but you should always stop storage devices prior to removing them from Windows to ensure data integrity.

ATP Tough Drive (2 GB)

The ATP Tough Drive doesn't seem like one of the ordinary small Flash devices. Instead, it is rubberized on the outside, which makes it more robust than other models. The manufacturer also claims the device is water resistant, though we did not test this out. When feeling the device, it seems very strong and like it could easily survive any unexpected fall. Even the cap seems to form a good seal when on the device.

ATP claims 30 MB/s read and 20 MB/s write transfer rates. Devices are available in 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB and 4 GB sizes. An embedded program allows you to partition the drive and protect one partition with a password; an LED indicates drive activity.
