SteelSeries Announces Gaming Mouse Optimized for MLG

By - Source: SteeSeries | B 1 comment

SteelSeries launched a version of its Sensei gaming mouse that has been optimized for gaming in the competitive video game league Major League Gaming (MLG).

The package includes a 32-bit ARM processor, and resolution capability of up to 8,200 CPI and 16,400 DCPI. The processor is powerful enough to run certain calculations directly in the mouse, SteelSeries said. Also supported is a driverless setup (useful at tournament computers, for example) via an on-mouse LCD display and menu.

There are plenty of customization features too, including three areas of illumination with 16.8 million color options to choose from and four grades of illuminating pulsation. The SteelSeries Engine software suite allows for further customization and "extended" programmability, the manufacturer said.

The SteelSeries Sensei MLG Edition will be shown first at the MLG Spring Championship in Anaheim, which takes place from June 8 to 10. Commercial products are scheduled to be shipping in August for $100.

What a stupid way to waste $100. Especially when last time I checked a lot of the 'pro' players used stuff like the intellimouse 3.0 which comes in at around £20.
