Sprint/Lucent test 3G 2.4Mbps cellphones
A Lucent/Sprint PCS cellphone has been tested that transmits data at 2.4Mbps, 165 times faster than today's cellphones and faster than a commercial T1 connection. Sprint says it will make the public bandwidth available to take advantage of the phones between 2002 and 2003. No pricing information has been published.
