SoundMAX 4 Has A Helpful, Interactive Control Panel That Makes Sense
The just-released SoundMAX 4 XL 5.1 audio is the newest version of the Analog Devices Digital Audio System. What is unique is that it features intelligent jack technology, the likes of which we have never seen before. Of course, they have a new, updated control panel as well, but the new intelligent jack technology is able to lead you by the hand and configure the devices that are plugged into it using an enhanced audio wizard.

SoundMAX 4 Audio Wizard. If you change the configuration or plug the wrong thing into the SoundMAX 4, the new intelligent jack technology can reconfigure on the fly or help you reconfigure your setup, step by step.

The new control panel of the SoundMAX 4 allows you to remove the buttons from the panel and drag them to the desktop where they are the most helpful, for example.

A look at the general preferences of the SoundMAX 4 control panel.
We found the new control panel to be quite impressive because it offers a lot of help to the new user who can't seem to get things plugged in correctly. What's nice is that we can expect to see the SoundMAX 4 XL in a variety of motherboards soon, and, with it's excellent sound quality and innovative control panel, it is something that you will certainly want to check out. Why more companies can't write useful things that work this well is beyond us. Once I plugged the mic into the speaker output, not only did the control panel recognize it, but it visually showed me how to fix it. I thought this was great!
