South Korea Greatly Boosted Digital TV Shipments in 1Q
South Korea greatly boosted its digital TV exports, both in quantity and dollar value, in the first quarter, according to the Electronic Industries Association of Korea (EIAK). Compared to the same period of last year, the proportion by value of digital TV exports to total TV exports increased from 4.8% to 29.2%. South Korean digital TV exporters include LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics and Daewoo Electronics.
