Sources: Inventec notebook shipments to Toshiba to rise 50% in 2005
Sources at Inventec expect the notebook maker will ship 1.5 million notebooks to Toshiba in 2005, up from about a million this year. Neither company was willing to confirm the numbers. Yeh Quo-yi, chairman of Inventec, declined to comment on the company’s shipment volumes to Toshiba, but admitted that the contribution from Toshiba’s orders has grown since the second half of this year, and it is expected to be a major growth driver for Inventec in 2005.
