Sources: AMD may lower K8 prices in July
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) may cut the prices on its K8 platform CPUs in July, which would come one month before Intel’s planned price cuts for its Pentium 4 600 series, according to market sources. Intel is expected to lower its prices on August 14, although sources indicated Intel may implement the cuts earlier if motherboard sales in the second quarter are lower than expected.
