Sony continues to differentiate Vaio brand from price-performance notebooks
Kunimasa Suzuki, head of Sony’s Vaio business worldwide, stated that the VAIO brand will continue to target the mid-range and high-end notebook markets and differentiate from sub-$1000 models.
As an expansion in the desktop replacement market spurs notebook demand, sales of Sony’s VAIO-branded notebooks is climbing without being squeezed by price-performance models, according to Suzuki.
