Sony unveils new game machine
To fill the gap between their Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 game consoles, Sony have just announced their latest product, the PSX. The PSX will feature "a TV tuner, hard disc drive and a DVD recorder alongside the games console functionality, making it into an "all in one" device for gaming, media recording and playback" . Judging by early images as well as the announced specifications of the PSX, it is clear that Sony are trying to bring consoles out of the bedroom, and into the loungeroom. You can expect to see the console hit store shelves by 2004, or late 2005, analysts say.
