Sony to build HTPS TFT LCD module factory in China
Aiming at downstream digital, still and video camera producers in China, Sony will invest 5-10 billion yen to build an HTPS (high-temperature poly-silicon) TFT LCD module assembly factory in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province (China), the Associated Press reported, quoting the Nihon Keizai Shimbun . The company reportedly plans to begin volume production at the plant by the end of March 2004.
