Sony launches smal and light HD camcorder
This is the HDR-HC1, a Sony video camera that will be yours in exchange for about 1750 of your hard-earned $$$. The device will be offered in Japan only and hit store shelves in July.
The videocam can record HD video in 1080/60i (1440x1080) on miniDV’s. The most important aspect of this model is that Sony tries to render HD accessible for all, so this is a "compact" model (compared to everything else that is already available) with dimensions of 71 x 188 x 94 mm and a weight of just680g.
